Leadership
Dato' Mohamad Razali Bin Mohamad Rahim
Group Chief Executive Officer
A career built on turning ambitious visions into landmark realities, Dato' Razali has spent over four decades shaping some of Malaysia's most consequential organisations — from multinational finance to nation-defining construction.
He joined Talam Transform Berhad on 22 March 2019 as Group Chief Executive Officer, aged 65, bringing with him a career forged across finance, real estate, and Islamic banking on three continents.
Fresh from earning his MBA in the United States in 1981, Dato' Razali cut his teeth at Pernas-Sime Darby across Finance, Marketing, and the Trading Company's Motor Division — including a year stationed in Japan with Nichimen Corporation. In 1984, he moved into international banking with Citibank NA, rising to Vice President and Area Director, and serving as the bank's Real Estate Specialist across Asia and Oceania.
In 1997, he stepped into one of Malaysia's most prestigious construction mandates: as Executive Director at SP Setia, he was responsible for delivering the Prime Minister's Office and the Prime Minister's Residence in Putrajaya, alongside every housing unit under the joint venture — a body of work now etched permanently into the nation's capital.
His career continued through Islamic Banking with Abrar Discounts Berhad, business development leadership at MIDF Group, and further roles at Premier Nalfin Berhad, Wembley Industries Berhad, and Khee San Berhad.
Dato' Razali currently also serves as Chairman of Pelaburan MARA Berhad, a Director at FAW Vehicles Sdn Bhd, and a Trustee at Yayasan Nurjiwa.
