Throwback: Putting Safety Knowledge into Practice

Workplace safety is most effective when knowledge is translated into action.

Following the classroom sessions of the Executive HIRARC Training Programme, employees of Talam Transform Berhad took part in practical exercises designed to reinforce the principles of Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Risk Control (HIRARC).

Through group discussions, case studies and hands-on activities, participants worked together to identify workplace hazards, evaluate potential risks and recommend appropriate control measures. These exercises reflected real workplace scenarios, encouraging participants to apply the structured methodologies introduced throughout the programme.

The training also reinforced the importance of shared responsibility. Effective workplace safety is not solely the responsibility of safety officers or project teams. It requires awareness and participation across every level of the organisation.
